Let's start this month by doing a review of this blush/cheek color that I got from Ever Bilena. 

A few years back, my Mom had a blush stick from EB. It's powder in a transparent stick-like container that has a brush at the end (best way I can describe it) and I like the formula because it is super pigmented plus they have beautiful colors. Though, bad thing about is that my face gets itchy once applied so I stopped using the product. When I had a chat with the saleslady at EB, she told me that the cheek color has been reformulated. And here I am, giving their blush/cheek color another chance. 

Ever Bilena is one of the successful local brands in the country that has good quality and affordable products. I've noticed as well that most of their products right now are formulated to suit Filipino skin. 

A brown hue blush that has matte finish. It looks natural on my skin since I'm morena. Be careful in applying, it is very pigmented and you might go overboard. 'Di bale ng kulang kaysa sobra. 

I'm a sucker for cute, compact and lightweight items. Though, it's not sturdy. (Try tapping the cover and you'll get what I mean) It is a transparent plastic container with mirror and brush. 

This is long-lasting blush, I had it on my face a day after I bought it. It was scorching hot that day and the rest of my makeup wears off but I still have natural blush on my face. Can you imagine how good is that? 

It has no tingling effect on my face. I told you, their blush makes my face itchy but still, need to be wary of this product.

At an early age, I'm already obsessed with makeup and as time goes by, my love for them grows bigger. 

I can still remember my struggle to save money in order to buy cosmetics,books (I'm a bookworm as well) and clothes. My parents taught us to save money if we want to splurge on something aside from the basic needs they provide. And it really works for all of us, especially now that we're grown-ups. 

To be honest, I haven't explore local brand though I tried some before. Then lately, I've been watching some videos online (of my favorite vloggers) about their local product must have. With that, it gave me the boost that I need to start my way knowing local brand. But still hesitant. 

With a nervous smile on my face, I approached the saleslady on Ever Bilena stall in department store. I tend to talk with them since they'll help you learn more abot the products they offer. There's one thing you have to remind yourself whenever you talk to saleslady; prepare yourself for a lot of questions.

I also bought some from Maybelline since I'm running out of make-up remover and mascara. Plus the Nichido Precise Liner is eye catching since its 50% off!

There are other products I'd like to try as well. However, I'm on a limited budget since I'm (f)unemployed. Ha-ha! Still, I can get my hands on those products soon.

Hello, hotties!

I know some of you share my dilemma with eyebrows. It really takes a lot of effort and patience in knowing what works for your face, like length, thickness, arched or not, etc. And for beginners like me, it gives me confusion but I'm working on it by using different techniques to achieve the look that I want.

So I took a leap of faith, I recently purchase an eyebrow product and I'm hopeful that my brows will have a wonderful relationship with it.

Who among you are a big fan of Victoria's Secret? Do you have any favorite Angels?

I can't remember the first time I laid my hands on VS. What I can recall is that it came from a relative abroad since it's not yet available in the Philippines. Before, we have to ask a relative to get something for us but now we can drop by at their store anytime. 

Victoria's Secret has branches here in the Philippines. One in Resorts World and SM Megamall. Those are the only location that I'm aware of. They have sports wear, make-up, lingerie, body mist and perfume. No wonder, ladies can't help but go-gaga over their store!

And without further ado, my favorite product from Victoria's Secret is Amber Romance!

This is my first favorite from Victoria's Secret body mist collection. Second is their Vanilla Lace. 

The scent is warm and seductive with a bit of sweetness. It's a great choice for me since not a fan of those sickeningly sweet. I am not good in describing scent but trust me on this. We have tried several body mist and perfume from VS but Amber Romance totally won my heart. Up to now, I still have the Bombshell 75ml and can't finish it because my cousin from Canada gave me this. 

As the staff in VS Megamall once told me, this product is already phased out. However, I believe that it depends on the location since we have relatives abroad and they can still send me this body mist. 

It's the start of the rainy season and we have to do our best in keeping our "art" in place. 

I've mentioned before that I started paying attention to my brows just three months ago. It's with a help of a friend, of course! And as day pased by, I'm learning. Though, I'm still not an expert since it really takes a lot of time to master the #WowBrows technique that some of you have been slaying.

Since I'm always on the go, I want to have the on-fleek look for my eyebrow that can also withstand the ever "reliable weather" in the Philippines. Tons of tutorials have given me confusion so I did the best thing a beauty enthusiast can rely on -- suggestions from makeup artist. 

I visited several beauty stores to get some advice (SM Beauty section, Benefit, Watsons, MAC, NYX) However, some staffs are not friendly. One staff from Benefit Megamall scanned me from head to toe with scrutinizing look and I was like, "hello, bitch! I can afford your products!" (Just in my mind) No worries, I'm not in the mood to bitch around so I walked out and head to the next destination. MAC is jam-packed, as usual. SM Beauty section is full of sales lady who did nothing but gossip. Watsons is too crowded (shelves are everywhere) and mind you, it was Wednesday. Goodness gracious! Sinong magsasabi na walang pera ang mga Pinoy? Good thing, NYX Megamall doesn't have any clients so I approached one MUA for assistance (Hi, Jem! Thanks a bunch for the help!) Lucky enough, he answered and explain everything to me (which I already know) with patience and suggested to try BROW POWDER to achieve my goals. He even showed me how to do my brows and I am crossing my finger that it'll look good when I try it at home. I went home happy and satisfied!

I've been seeing this lipstick on my instagram feed for quite some time and I decided to check it out myself. But what really caught my attention was the fact that MeNow Pro Kiss Proof Soft Lipstick only cost P 130.00  (kuripot queen alert!) at Vaintage.

The products packaging is simple and full of information. It is a chubby crayon style pencil but a bit slimmer compare to Revlon or Happy Skin. It would be great if it is retractable, however, any sharpener will work. One great thing about this lipstick is the cap and bottom reflects the true color of the lipstick unlike other brands.

Here are  the swatches and some photos. I only bought three shades because I'm still hesitant about the colors but we'll see. :)
