Hello, hoarders!
We have witnessed how it was a hit when makeup brands collaborate with certain celebrities. But what more if the celebrity itself launches their own makeup line?
That happened a month ago when Anne Curtis, a well-known actress, host and TV personality launched her own makeup line— BLK Cosmetics, a promise of uncomplicated beauty.
It made impact in the beauty industry and people are going gaga over it. Reviews, first impression, vlogs are all over social media. It ranges from foundation, eyeliner, eyebrow pencil and of course, different shades of lipstick perfect for Pinay skintone. Take note,, I did not purchased their whole makeup line, only the items that I need.
First, can we talk about the packaging? It's a bomb for being minimalist yet classy. The lipstick packaging is a total head-turner and will have everyone thinking if it is really a local brand.
The price? Each item cost below Php 500 (less than $10). Some says not all products are worth their price knowing this is a local brand and new in the market. But still, it's affordable. Swak pa rin sa banga!
Unfortunately they only have two shades available for the foundation and both are very light for me. A struggle for some Filipina out there since it is very hard to find perfect shade that is affordable. We can get one if we really want to but guaranteed that it's pricey. Morenas like me are hoping that BLK Cosmetics will cater medium to dark skin tone in the future.
Here are the products:
BLK All Day Intense Matte Lipstick in Charming and Chic (Php 299.00)
Gorgeous shades and perfect for everyday makeup. I've been reaching for them quite often. They're really long lasting but they tend to make your lips super dry! Cracked and dry, to be exact. Better pumped your lips with balm.
BLK Contour, Blush & Highlight Palette in Sun-Kissed (Php 499.00)
Provides definition and glow!! It stays true to it's name for you will be given that sun-kissed glow once they're all applied on the face. Though a lot of fallback for their highlight powder compare to contour and blush.
Credits to the owner. Lack of time to shoot another set of photos.
BLK Brow Sculpting Pencil Duo in Natural Brown (Php 249.00)
The eyebrow pen is great for filling since it has triangular shape compare plus it comes with a brush. Also, I find it a bit waxy.

BLK Long Lasting Liquid Eyeliner in Brown (Php 249.00)
I like the tip of the eyeliner, it gives you so much control in applying. First time for me having a brown eyeliner.
Overall, the products are great! This is not a review, I just tried to be informative the best as I could by giving some of my thoughts when I tried the products. For now, let's keep an eye for more from BLK Cosmetics since I heard from one saleslady that they will launch more next year.
